In the industry, automotive sheet metal stamping dies are divided into ordinary continuous dies and progressive continuous dies. Ordinary continuous mold means that except for blanking, the rest of the molds have at least two procedures. The products produced by this mold are generally completed by more than two machine tools (each machine tool can be operated manually or by manipulator). Compared with single-sequence molds, ordinary continuous molds have the advantages of time-saving, machine-saving, and labor-saving. The disadvantage is that the mold maintenance is more troublesome; progressive continuous molds mean that all the processes are completed on a pair of molds, usually during stamping In one stroke of the trip, the molds for all stamping processes are completed at different stations at the same time (generally such molds are equipped with a feeder). The advantages and disadvantages of this mold are very obvious. The advantages are: more labor-saving than ordinary continuous mold, labor, machine tool, product scrap rate is less, and the efficiency is higher. Disadvantages: It is difficult to make molds, the cost is relatively high, and the maintenance is more difficult. It is suitable for parts with low difficulty and large output. In summary, both ordinary and progressive continuous modes have an advantage and high efficiency. All have a disadvantage, the mold maintenance is not convenient. The type of mold can only be positioned according to your needs.
